Ideally placed for lakes, mountains and seaside, this lovely detached self-catering holiday cottage offers extremely spacious and airy accommodation for 2, 4 or even 6 guests.
The cottage is set in its large lawned gardens, which include a sunny patio area with furniture and barbecue. There is a lockable store for cycles. A lovely stream runs just outside the boundary of the front garden and there is ample parking space within the grounds for several cars and a boat.
Ty Uchaf has been in the ownership of the current family for many years, and has been sensitively extended thus retaining many of the original features.
The ground floor of the cottage consists of a really spacious and airy living room which is open-plan to the kitchen and 2 storeys high up to the rafters, giving the whole cottage an alpine feel. The walls are lined with books as well as magazines, binoculars, maps and lots of information which have been thoughfully provided by the owners for guests to spend quality time on their holiday. There is a dining table which can seat up to 8 guests (or just 2 and a huge jigsaw!) comfortably. Patio doors lead from this room out to the garden which enjoys extensive beautiful views across open countryside.
The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of crockery, cutlery and glassware. There is an electric cooker, a microwave oven, a dishwasher and a fridge freezer. In the outbuilding at the back is a large chest freezer.
The bathroom is downstairs and consists of tiled walls, a bath tub with shower over and wc and hand basin.
On the other side of the front door is the 2nd sitting room, in the old original part of the cottage which has an inglenook fireplace with radiant fire and a TV with Sky Freesat, DVD and Video. This cosy room is furnished with a 3-piece suite and sofa bed. Upstairs also in the older side of the cottage there is a delightful bedroom with wash hand basin, very old vaulted beamed ceiling and double bed.
A double sofa bed in the 2nd sitting room and an open gallery bedroom above the sitting room with double futon bed allow for a maximum of 6 guests.

The A5 is very close to Llangwm making access very easy to Cerrigydruidion, Llyn Brenig, Betws Y Coed, Llandudno and all the North Wales coastline including Bangor and Anglesey on the Menai Straits. Less than 30 minutes to Llanberis, the village at the foot of Snowdon. To the east are Corwen, Llangollen and Oswestry, and Bala with its national White Water Centre (Canolfan Tryweryn) wonderful Llyn Tegid, (Bala Lake)and all its vast array of watersports, activities and eateries are less than 20 minutes away.
Nearby in Llangwm is Adventure Mountain for Quad Biking and Rally Karting, also here is Ewephoria Agri Theatre and Sheepdog Centre with a Bistro in a Barn. On the A5 at Cerrigydrudion just a few minutes away is Parc Glan Y Gors Championship Karting Course.
There is rather poor reception for mobile phones in the village, which can be a blessing on holiday but for guests' peace of mind and convenience a landline is provided. This is essentially for incoming calls only, but if used to make (local) calls, an honesty policy is in place for payment please
